Alignment is the word of the day.

Life is a journey of constant change and evolution, often leading us away from our true selves. External pressures, societal expectations, and personal struggles can all contribute to us losing sight of who we really are. This state of disconnection from ourselves is what we refer to as being "out of alignment." A state of being where we feel so much inner frustration, lack motivation and self belief, and are besieged with negative thoughts about ourself and others. It is from this state that we navigate life in auto-pilot mode, inadvertently attracting to us people, and experiences that are not meant for us.

However, we never have to remain stuck in this state. We can find our way back to ourselves, and be aligned with the life we are meant to live.

The journey back to ourselves is one that will require our acceptance, the realization that we are lost, and that it is up to us to find ourselves. Daunting as it may seem, the path to rediscovering our authentic selves is a transformative and rewarding process. But it will require deep and honest self-reflection, courage, and perseverance.

Understanding the Root of Misalignment:

Getting out of alignment is a gradual process that often starts with neglecting our inner voice and intuition. As we navigate through life's challenges, we may find ourselves making decisions based on external influences rather than our true desires and values. This misalignment can lead to feelings of restlessness, dissatisfaction, and confusion about our purpose.

The Importance of Self-Reflection:

The first step towards getting back into alignment is acknowledging that we have strayed from our authentic selves. This realization demands self-reflection, a process of turning inward to explore our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. Self-reflection allows us to identify the root causes of our misalignment, such as negative thought patterns or unfulfilling relationships.

Embracing Vulnerability and Acceptance:

The journey to realignment requires us to embrace vulnerability and accept ourselves unconditionally. It means acknowledging our flaws, imperfections, and past mistakes without self-judgment. By accepting ourselves as we are, we create a foundation for growth and transformation.

Reconnecting with Our Passions:

Rediscovering ourselves involves reigniting the flame of passion that might have been smoldered by the demands of daily life. Exploring our interests, hobbies, and creative pursuits helps us reconnect with the essence of who we are. Engaging in activities that bring joy and fulfillment fosters a sense of purpose and rekindles our inner spark.

Cultivating Mindfulness and Presence:

To get back into alignment, we must practice mindfulness and be fully present in the current moment. Mindfulness helps us observe our thoughts and emotions without judgment, allowing us to become aware of any patterns that might be perpetuating our misalignment. It enables us to make conscious choices rather than reacting impulsively.

Letting Go of External Expectations:

A significant aspect of the realignment process is freeing ourselves from the weight of external expectations. Society, family, and friends often impose beliefs and goals upon us that may not resonate with our true selves. Learning to set boundaries and prioritize our own needs is crucial in reclaiming our authentic identity.

Seeking Support and Connection:

Getting back into alignment is not a solitary journey. Seeking support from loved ones, mentors, or professionals can provide valuable guidance and encouragement. Connecting with others who are also on a path of self-discovery can foster a sense of belonging and understanding.

Embracing Change and Growth:

Realignment involves embracing change and being open to growth. As we delve deeper into self-discovery, we might encounter uncomfortable truths or face challenging situations. Embracing change allows us to evolve into the best version of ourselves.

I hope that as you embark on this journey, you understand just how important it is for you to experience this world as yourself. You are the only version of you that exists, and you bring so much unique value when you are your authentic self. Don’t be discouraged by how long it may take to feel like yourself, understand that this journey is life long, and embarking on it will bring you so much more joy, than staying still. It will be transformative and empowering, and rewarding in leaps of growth and a wealth of self-discovery. You will regain a sense of purpose, authenticity, and inner peace. And you deserve all that and more babe.
