Are Affirmations /Manifestation Practices Spiritual Mumbo Jumbo?
So let’s really talk about affirmation/ manifestation practices. We always talk about manifesting or affirming your bestest life every chance we get….we even have Pink Wednesday Manifestations on TGLM but some days, I have those moments when I am manifesting shit and I’m like Is this too much? Am I being delulu?
Affirmations, and manifestation practices have become quite the trend, especially on social media. We see influencers, celebrities, and your neighbor's cousin's best friend all raving about how these practices have transformed their lives. But does it all sound too good to be true? Is this just some spiritual mumbo jumbo?
More Than Positive Vibes
So…Affirmations… Affirmations are those positive statements you repeat to yourself, like "I am the absolute shit" or "I have the prettiest energy". Skeptics often dismiss them as mere wishful thinking. But, there's more to affirmations than meets the eye.
Affirmations can be a powerful tool, but they're not a magic spell. They work when they're paired with action. Repeating “I am confident” won't suddenly make you a charismatic public speaker if you never step onto a stage. Realistic affirmation practice involves setting achievable goals and using positive self-talk as motivation. It's about boosting your self-esteem and self-belief, making you more likely to take the necessary steps toward your dreams.
So, yes, affirmations are entirely realistic, as long as you're ready to back them up with effort and determination.
Dreaming with Purpose
Now, the big one: Manifestation. It's often portrayed as the art of turning your wildest dreams into reality by merely thinking about them. Sounds completely delulu but there is so much more to it than meets the eye.
Manifestation isn't about sitting on your couch, visualizing a soft life on a yacht, and expecting it to just appear in front of you. It's about setting clear intentions, working hard, and staying open to opportunities that align with your goals. It's like having a roadmap to your dreams. If you don't plan the route and take action, you'll likely remain stuck in the same spot.
So, is manifestation realistic? Yes, but it requires a realistic approach. It's not a shortcut; it's a strategy for focusing your efforts on what truly matters to you.
Balancing Realism and Optimism
Affirmation, and manifestation practices are realistic, but they're not magic pills. They require a balanced approach that combines optimism with realism. Affirmations can boost your self-esteem, but only when paired with action. Manifestations can help you achieve your goals, but you need to put in the work.
The key to success in affirmation, and manifestation lies in finding what works for you and integrating these practices into your unique journey. It's all about creating a life that you love—one positive affirmation, and one manifested goal at a time.
It's not about instant miracles. It's about embracing a mindset that empowers you to take control of your life and make your dreams a reality.
