Urrgh, all of these myths are so correct.
About kinky hair being tough and unable to let a comb pass through, I hear that all the time. I’m at the salon trying to get my hair done, some other lady comes in and subsequently says that she wishes she could go natural, but her hair is too ‘hard’. Usually, I’m too unbothered to start explaining conditioning, and how your hair could not be tougher that my Forrest was, and could get if I decide to be nonchalant

The high-maintenance thing too, this is just choice. I only got my first store-bought product(a leave-in conditioner) some months ago, after been natural for years. Because, I am the boss and if I CHOOSE to feed my hair oils and shea butter gotten from the women at the local market, I would.

Natural hair shouldn’t equal stress, abeg.
